About ChatGPT

OpenAI’s chatbot, ChatGPT, has made its public debut, allowing users to access and interact with the AI-powered chatbot for free. Developed using GPT-3.5 language technology, ChatGPT can understand and respond to a wide variety of writing, including theoretical essays, mathematical solutions, and stories.

What Does ChatGPT Do

ChatGPT is an AI-powered chatbot that can engage in conversations with humans. It can answer follow-up questions and even admit when it makes a mistake. OpenAI has implemented Moderation API, an AI-based moderation system, to help developers identify and prevent any potentially harmful or unlawful content from being communicated.

How Does ChatGPT Work

ChatGPT is trained using a technique known as reinforcement learning. It works by asking a model a question and then sampling a number of the answers. After that, a human ranks the answers and this serves as training data for the reward model. The output of the reward model is then improved by further training a fine-tuned language model using reinforcement learning to react to inquiries

Writing a Good Prompt

The key to writing a good prompt for ChatGPT is to ask a specific question that requires a detailed response from the AI. For example, if you have a complex problem you’d like to solve, it’s best to ask a specific question about that problem in order for ChatGPT to provide an accurate answer. Additionally, ChatGPT can also generate code, or give you a gist of the story, generate new recommendations, brainstorm ideas, teach you, etc.

What do others say about chatGPT capabilities?

Michael Aaron Nielsen, a quantum physicist, science author, and researcher in computer programming, tweeted

— “OpenAI’s new chatbot is amazing. It hallucinates some very interesting things. For instance, it told me about a (v interesting sounding!) book, which I then asked it about: Unfortunately, neither Amazon nor G Scholar nor G Books thinks the book is real. Perhaps it should be!”

Jason DeBolt, an Amazon employee also tweeted

— “Ok this is scary. @OpenAI’s ChatGPT can generate hundreds of lines of Python code to do multipart uploads of 100 GB files to an AWS S3 bucket from the phrase “Write Python code to upload a file to an AWS S3 bucket”.

Afterwords…

Jim Keller (a microprocessor engineer that was the lead architect of the AMD K8, Athlon (K7)[5], and Apple A4/A5 processors. coauthor x86–64, etc) in Jordan Peterson’s podcast said that it is highly probable that AI will be a best friend of human in 5–10 years :)

What an amazing time we live in now.
